Scottish Thistle Copper Backsplash — Silver — Hand-Hammered Heritage Wall Art

Scotland’s national emblem — the thistle, symbol of resilience, protection, and pride — rendered in silver-plated relief against a silver-plated background. The Silver finish is the most refined and contemporary version of this design: no color contrast, no patina drama — just the form of the thistle itself, the depth of the hand-hammering, the spines and petals and leaves catching light as it moves across the surface. A heraldic emblem treated as pure sculpture. The finish for spaces where the craftsmanship is the statement.

Hand-hammered from flat copper sheet in our family workshop using traditional chasing and repoussé techniques passed through generations. The Silver finish is a full silver plating applied over the copper — background and raised thistle relief both silver, the panel reading as a single luminous surface where the only variation is depth and texture. In direct light the spines of the thistle catch and hold; in ambient light the whole panel recedes into the wall with quiet authority. Available in all 15 finishes. Every Natuross backsplash is handcrafted from real 24-gauge copper or brass over a rigid composite backing, creating a finished thickness of approximately ¼ inch.

The result is lightweight, rigid, and designed for long-term use in kitchens and other living spaces.

Each backsplash is sealed with a clear protective finish to help resist moisture, fingerprints, cooking splashes, and everyday wear.

Custom Sizes & Layouts

Every backsplash is made specifically for your kitchen.

Order a single backsplash behind the stove, matching side panels beneath your cabinets, or a complete kitchen backsplash designed for your full layout.

Outlets, switches, pot fillers, windows, vents, and other cutouts can usually be incorporated into the design.

If your exact size is not listed, simply send us your approximate width × height after ordering. We usually add custom sizes quickly.

For the best fit, measure the finished opening and subtract approximately ⅛ inch from each side. This small installation allowance is normally unnoticeable and helps create an easier installation and professional result.

Adhesive Mount is the most popular choice for kitchen backsplashes and is suitable for most properly prepared drywall, tile, wood, stone, brick, and metal surfaces.

Care & Cleaning

Natuross backsplashes are designed specifically for kitchens and have been installed behind thousands of stoves and ranges.

Each backsplash is sealed with a clear protective finish that helps keep grease and cooking splashes on the surface, where they can be wiped away with a soft cloth, warm water, and mild dish soap.

No polishing or special maintenance is required under normal household use.

Production & Delivery

After your order is placed, we review the details and usually prepare your digital design preview within one business day.

Once you approve the design, your backsplash is handcrafted specifically for your order. Production typically takes about three weeks, although rush production may be available depending on our workshop schedule.

Before shipping, we send photos of your completed backsplash for final approval.

Orders ship with tracking and are typically delivered about one month after the order is placed.
