Copper Backsplash Installation Guide

Your Natuross piece arrives finished and prepared for the mounting option selected with your order. Test-fit it before installing, then follow the relevant method below.

Adhesive Mount

A common choice for fitted backsplashes and wall panels.

What you need

  • Heavy-duty construction adhesive or a silicone adhesive suitable for the panel’s backing and your wall surface
  • Applicator gun, if required
  • Level and measuring tape
  • Spacers and temporary supports, as needed
  1. Prepare the surface.
    Remove grease, dust, and cleaning residue. Let the surface dry completely. The wall should be reasonably flat and firmly attached, with no loose tiles or flaking paint.
  2. Test-fit the panel.
    Check the orientation, alignment, edges, and any openings. Mark its position before applying adhesive. For several panels, check the entire arrangement together.
  3. Apply adhesive to the back.
    Follow the selected adhesive’s instructions for quantity and application pattern. Keep adhesive away from the edges to prevent it from squeezing onto the decorative front.
  4. Position and support.
    Place the panel, check that it is level, and press evenly without concentrated pressure on the raised artwork.

    Spacers or blocks beneath the lower edge can prevent sliding and maintain the intended gap above a countertop. Where support against the wall is also needed, use temporary bracing or adjustable installation supports without heavy pressure on the artwork.
  5. Allow the adhesive to cure.
    Leave temporary supports in place for the period specified by the adhesive manufacturer. Initial grip is not the same as full cure.

Protect the finished front. Do not run tape across the decorative surface. Keep adhesive, grout, and installation chemicals off the finish.

Screw Mount

For pieces ordered with prepared screw holes:

  1. Position the panel and mark the fixing locations.
  2. Use screws and anchors appropriate for the wall and panel weight.
  3. Tighten evenly without overtightening or distorting the panel.
  4. Fit the decorative caps supplied with the mounting arrangement.

Hanging Wire

For pieces supplied with hanging wire, use securely installed picture-hanging hardware rated for the piece’s weight and suitable for your wall.

This option is intended for indoor decorative display.

Common Questions

Can I install over existing tile?

Yes. Securely attached tile can stay in place. Remove grease and cleaning residue, let it dry, and repair loose areas before installation. The surface should be reasonably flat.

Check the final fit around outlets, trim, and panel edges.

Do I need to drill through the panel?

Not for adhesive mounting. If you selected screw mounting, use the prepared holes supplied with your piece.

Can I install behind a stove?

Follow the installation and clearance requirements for your specific appliance. Keep the panel away from direct flame, and make sure the adhesive and other installation materials suit the location.

What about fireplace, outdoor, or wet-area installations?

Use mounting materials selected for the heat, moisture, and exposure involved. The decorative panel does not replace required heat protection or waterproofing.

Should I add a coating before installation?

No. Your piece arrives with its protective finish already applied.

Can you prepare openings for outlets or other fixtures?

Yes. Openings for outlets, switches, pot fillers, and other fixtures can be prepared before production using the confirmed measurements.
