Everyday Cleaning

1. Allow the surface to cool.
   Wait until it is comfortable to touch after cooking.
2. Wipe gently.
   Use a soft cloth and warm water. Add a little mild dish soap when needed.
3. Remove residue and dry.
   Wipe away soap with a clean, damp cloth, then dry gently with a soft cloth.

Use this same routine for fingerprints and ordinary cooking splashes. Start with gentle cleaning rather than stronger products or scrubbing.

What Not to Use

• Copper or metal polish
• Abrasive pads, steel wool, and scouring powders
• Acidic cleaners, including vinegar and lemon-based cleaning mixtures
• Bleach, strong degreasers, and solvents

Keep oven cleaners and other products intended for nearby appliances or surfaces off the artwork.

Understanding the Protective Finish

The clear finish helps preserve the appearance of your piece and makes everyday cleaning easier.

It is not permanent. Its lifespan depends on use, cleaning, and exposure. Over time, it may need renewal.

A mark or change in appearance does not automatically mean a new coating is needed. First remove ordinary residue using the cleaning steps above.

Renewing the Clear Finish

When renewal is needed, use a clear lacquer spray suitable for application over the existing finish.

Prepare

Clean gently, remove all soap residue, and allow the surface to dry completely.

Follow the spray manufacturer’s preparation requirements. Do not substitute copper polish or aggressive cleaning for the specified preparation.

Test a small, inconspicuous area before applying more widely. Do not spray over grease, moisture, or loose and peeling coating.

Apply

Protect the surrounding area from overspray without sticking tape to the decorative front.

Apply thin, even coats. Follow the product’s instructions for spraying distance, ventilation, time between coats, and full curing.

Allow the coating to cure before cleaning or returning the surface to use.
