Most customers are surprised by how easy it is.

A Natuross backsplash is made for everyday cooking, not just display kitchens. The sealed finish helps protect the copper surface from normal grease, steam, fingerprints, and splashes so routine cleaning stays simple.

Everyday cleaning

Use warm water, mild dish soap, and a soft microfiber cloth or soft sponge.

Grease and splashes

Let the surface cool, then wipe gently. For heavier buildup, hold a warm soapy cloth on the area briefly.

Fingerprints

Fingerprints are normal on metal surfaces and can be wiped away with the same gentle cleaning method.

Simple routine cleaning

For most daily kitchen use, gentle cleaning is enough. Do not treat a sealed Natuross backsplash like raw copper. The protective coating is already applied before shipping, so polishing compounds and harsh chemicals are not needed.

Let it cool. Wait until the backsplash is comfortable to touch after cooking.
Use mild soap. Mix warm water with a small amount of mild dish soap.
Wipe softly. Use a microfiber cloth or a non-abrasive sponge.
Dry gently. Wipe dry with a clean soft cloth to reduce water spots.

Safe vs. avoid

About grout lines

Most Natuross copper backsplashes are made as one continuous panel or coordinated multi-panel system, so the copper surface itself has no tile grout lines. For many kitchens, routine cleaning is as simple as wiping one sealed metal surface with a soft cloth and mild dish soap.

If your installation has seams, surrounding tile, countertop joints, or caulk lines, those areas should still be cleaned normally according to the installer’s materials.

Why a Natuross backsplash is easy to live with

The surface is real copper, but it is not left raw and unprotected. Each panel leaves our workshop with a clear protective finish already applied. This helps preserve the handmade color and relief while making everyday maintenance much easier.

The raised design and hammered texture are part of the sealed surface. For normal cooking splashes, wipe gently instead of scrubbing aggressively.

Do not polish a sealed Natuross backsplash

Every Natuross backsplash leaves our workshop with a clear protective finish already applied. Because of that, you should not use copper polish or metal polish. For normal care, a soft cloth, warm water, and mild dish soap are all you need.

Care FAQ

Is a copper backsplash hard to clean?

No. A sealed Natuross backsplash is designed for everyday kitchen use. Warm water, mild dish soap, and a soft cloth are enough for normal cleaning.

Will grease get stuck in the hammered texture?

No special cleaning is needed for normal cooking splashes. The clear protective finish helps keep everyday grease on the surface, where it can be wiped away gently.

Can I use copper polish?

No. Do not use copper polish on a sealed Natuross backsplash. Polish can damage the protective coating and change the finish.

Can I use vinegar, lemon juice, or bleach?

No. Avoid acidic cleaners and harsh chemicals. Use mild dish soap and warm water instead.

Do I need to seal it after installation?

No. Your backsplash arrives sealed with a clear protective finish. No sealing is needed before or after installation.
