Custom copper kitchen backsplash featuring a hand-hammered ostrich in raised copper relief. Wildlife kitchen decor and nature-inspired interiors in custom sizes and 15 finishes.

24-gauge real copper, hammered on an anvil and raised by hand into a tall ostrich with a long elegant neck, rounded body, detailed feathers, and strong legs. The copper is wrapped over a rigid backing, making the finished panel about 1/4" thick, similar to standard wall tile, but still lightweight and easy to install.

The ostrich stands at the center of the design with its head held high, giving the artwork a lively, confident, and slightly playful feeling. The long neck, expressive face, full feathered body, wings, legs, and ground details are all shaped by hand directly from the copper surface. Not printed, not stamped, not cast.

Installation is simple. The panel can be mounted over drywall, wood, stone, or existing tile using suitable adhesive, silicone, or screws. Each panel is sealed with a clear protective coating, so cleaning is easy and the color is preserved. Grease, fingerprints, and daily kitchen splashes wipe off with a soft cloth, warm water, and mild dish soap.

Copper patinas, silver tones, brass/gold tones, black details, and mixed finishes are available, so the same design can be made to match many kitchen styles.

Order Process

Place your order, enter your dimensions, and choose a finish. Add any notes at checkout — personalization, cutouts, text, or a completely new custom design. Custom design is included at no extra charge.

Step 1 — Digital preview: We send a preview of your panel for approval before anything is made. Production begins only after your written confirmation.

Step 2 — Production: Your panel is hand-hammered to your exact specifications. Approximately 3 weeks.

Step 3 — Pre-shipping photos: Once complete, we send photos of the finished panel. Shipping takes place only after your approval. Adjustments can still be made at this stage.

Step 4 — Delivery: Ships via FedEx with tracking. Delivered to your door within one month from order date.

Material & Specs

Every Natuross® panel is real copper or brass — 24 gauge, hand-hammered, mounted over a rigid aluminum composite backing. Approximately ¼ inch (6mm) thick, flush to the wall. Weight: approximately 2.1 lb per square foot.

Sealed with a professional-grade UV-resistant lacquer — water, heat, and grease resistant. Suitable for kitchens, bathrooms, wet areas, fireplaces, and outdoor installations. No maintenance ever required.

Installation & Care

Installation — three methods:

Adhesive — stick directly over existing tile, drywall, wood, or stone using any standard construction adhesive. Most popular method. Most customers install in under an hour.
Screw mount — for large, heavy, or outdoor panels. Ships with screws and decorative caps included.
Hanging wire — for wall art, signs, and removable installations.

For multi-piece panels: install the central piece first, borders second.

Care:

Wipe with a soft damp cloth. For grease or cooking splashes, warm water and mild dish soap. No polishing, waxing, or re-sealing — ever. The finish you receive is the finish it keeps.
