Grapevine Copper Backsplash — Hand-Hammered Botanical Kitchen & Vineyard Wall Decor
The grape cluster is the most compositionally perfect fruit in the decorative arts. A single cluster — the way the individual grapes pack together, the way the stem curves, the way the tendrils reach — is already a finished composition. The vine that carries it is already a border, a frame, a flowing line that fills any space it is given. No other plant in the history of decorative art has been as useful, as beautiful, or as universally understood.
A hand-hammered copper backsplash of the grapevine — cascading grape clusters and elegant vine tendrils rendered in dimensional copper relief, the clusters heavy and full, the tendrils reaching into every corner of the composition, the vine extending naturally across the full width of the panel — built up from a flat copper sheet one hammer stroke at a time by our family using traditional chasing and repoussé techniques passed through generations. The grape cluster, the tendril, and the leaf are the composition: nothing added, nothing that does not belong to the vine. Available in all 15 finishes. Over 10,000 pieces made.
Vitis vinifera — the common grapevine — has been cultivated for at least 8,000 years. It is native to the Mediterranean basin and Central Asia, and has been carried by human hands to every wine-producing region on earth. The ancient Egyptians painted it on tomb walls. The Greeks made it the symbol of Dionysus. The Romans spread it across Europe with the legions. The medieval illuminators put it in the margins of every manuscript. The Renaissance painters put it in every still life. The Arts and Crafts movement put it on every tile. The grapevine is the plant that human civilization has most consistently chosen to put on its walls — for 8,000 years, without interruption. This panel continues that tradition in copper.
What Can You Order With This Design?
① Single backsplash — select your size above
The grapevine in your exact size and finish. Choose from the sizes listed, or reach out with your measurements — we’ll add your size and notify you when it’s ready. Note your finish preference at checkout — we’ll send a digital preview before production begins.
② Full kitchen — the vineyard kitchen
The grapevine above the stove, the vine extending across the sink wall and window wall — all in the same finish, the tendrils and clusters flowing continuously from wall to wall. The kitchen that feels like the interior of a Tuscan farmhouse or a Provençal mas. Send us straight-on photos of your kitchen walls and we’ll design the full set, render it into your space, and quote the complete project. No commitment required.
③ Dining room, wine cellar, or outdoor kitchen
The grapevine at full wall scale — the vine spanning the full width of the dining room wall or the outdoor kitchen, the clusters distributed across the composition with the ease of a plant that has been growing there for years. Contact us with your wall dimensions for an exact quote.
④ Custom botanical composition — reach out
A specific grape variety rendered with botanical accuracy — the broad leaves of Cabernet Sauvignon, the tight clusters of Pinot Noir, the golden-green fruit of Chardonnay — a grapevine with your vineyard name or family name worked into the composition, a grapevine border framing a central subject, a grapevine with olive branch and wheat stalk for the full Mediterranean harvest composition. Same process, completely custom. Just reach out.

Complete the Look
A full vineyard kitchen. The grapevine above the stove, the vine extending across every wall, the range hood clad in the same finish with the tendrils climbing the sides — the kitchen where the vine never stops. The most botanically complete and most atmospherically immersive vineyard kitchen in the catalog.
A range hood wrapped in grapevine. The vine rising from the backsplash up the hood front and sides — the clusters framing the hood, the tendrils reaching toward the ceiling. The detail that makes the hood look grown rather than installed.
A dining room or wine cellar wall. The grapevine at dining room scale — the vine filling the wall behind the table, the clusters heavy above the chairs. The room that smells like a harvest before anything is poured.
A personalized vineyard panel. Your vineyard name, your family name, or your established date worked into the grapevine composition — the piece that makes the kitchen or the cellar unmistakably yours.
Thinking about more than one piece? Reach out before ordering. We design full projects together and the pricing reflects it.

- Hanging wire — for wall art, signs, and removable installations.
For multi-piece panels: install the central piece first, borders second.
Care:
Wipe with a soft damp cloth. For grease or cooking splashes, warm water and mild dish soap. No polishing, waxing, or re-sealing — ever. The finish you receive is the finish it keeps.
