The sailor’s knot — one of the oldest Celtic knotwork patterns, the interweaving loops with no beginning and no end, the symbol of love, loyalty, and the bond between two people — hand-hammered in raised copper relief. The knot is geometric and precise: every loop crossing over and under in perfect sequence, the pattern repeating or standing alone as a single centered composition. In copper, the relief gives the knotwork its depth — the crossings casting shadow, the loops catching light, the whole design reading differently from across the room than it does up close.
