Copper Panels & Wall Art for Riads
The riad is the most architecturally specific house in the Moroccan tradition — the inward-facing home organized entirely around the central courtyard, the fountain at its center, the rooms opening onto the courtyard on every side, and the sky above as the only ceiling that matters. The riad has no street presence. Its entire architectural ambition is directed inward — toward the courtyard, the fountain, the carved plaster, the zellige tile, and the surfaces that make the interior world of the riad the most considered space in the home. Copper — hand-hammered, warm, and shaped into the geometric and botanical compositions of the Moroccan craft tradition — belongs in the riad as naturally as the fountain belongs in the courtyard.
Natuross makes hand-hammered copper relief panels for every surface in the riad — courtyard walls, fountain surrounds, arched recess panels, kitchen walls, hammam surfaces, bathroom panels, staircase walls, rooftop terrace panels, and more. Made to your exact dimensions. Suitable for indoor and outdoor spaces, wet areas, and high-heat environments. Ready to install, easy to clean, and built to last. Over 10,000 pieces installed in homes across the US and internationally.
The Courtyard & Fountain
The courtyard is the riad — the room the entire house faces, the space the architecture exists to create. A large-format Moroccan geometric composition in raised copper relief at the full width of the courtyard wall — the eight-pointed star field, the arabesque, the interlace pattern that covers the wall the way zellige covers the floor. A fountain surround panel in a Moroccan star or geometric composition — the copper relief artwork around the fountain that is the center of the center of the riad. The courtyard and fountain are the two most riad-specific Natuross installations — the surfaces that define the space the riad was built to create. See the Courtyard page for more.
The Arched Recess Panels
The horseshoe arch recess is the defining architectural feature of the riad interior — the arched opening in every room that faces the courtyard, the framed space that the riad uses to organize every wall. A copper relief panel set into each arched recess — the Moroccan geometric or arabesque composition in the architectural frame the riad provides. A different composition in each recess, or the same design repeated around the courtyard. The arched recess panels are the most architecturally precise Natuross installation in the riad — made to the exact dimensions of each arch.
The Hammam
A large-format Moroccan geometric composition in raised copper relief on the hammam feature wall — the eight-pointed star, the arabesque, the interlace pattern at the full scale of the steam room wall. A steam room feature wall panel. A hammam vanity backsplash. The riad hammam is where copper relief art is most spa-like and most historically resonant at once — the warm metal surface in the room built for heat, water, and the most considered form of rest. See the Steam Room and Home Spa pages for more.
The Kitchen & Rooftop Terrace
A kitchen backsplash in a Moroccan geometric or botanical composition behind the range. A kitchen island panel in the same finish. A rooftop terrace feature wall panel in a large-format geometric composition — the copper relief artwork on the terrace that looks over the medina. See the Kitchen and Rooftop Terrace pages for more.
The Staircase
A staircase wall panel in a continuous Moroccan geometric or arabesque composition rising from the courtyard level to the rooftop — the copper relief artwork visible from every landing of the riad staircase. See the Staircase page for more.
Riad Signs & Plaques
The riad name beside the entrance door in Arabic or Latin letterforms. A family name plaque. A founding year. Every sign made with any text, any font, any finish. See all sign types on the Copper Signs & Plaques page.

Finishes
Antique Gold is the most riad-authentic finish — the warm brass surface that belongs beside zellige tile, carved plaster, and the golden afternoon light that falls into the riad courtyard. Gold–Black Details — brass background with black raised relief — is the most graphically precise finish for riad geometric compositions, the two-tone surface that reads like illuminated manuscript beside the carved cedar. Black Copper suits riads with a more dramatic, contemporary restoration aesthetic. Natural Copper suits riads where warmth is the deliberate counterpoint to the cool stone and tile. "The courtyard wall panels in Antique Gold — the eight-pointed star field at the full width of all four walls — and the fountain surround in the same finish. The arched recess panels in Gold–Black Details in each room. Our riad in Marrakech was built in the seventeenth century. The copper was made in the twenty-first. Standing in the courtyard with the fountain running and the afternoon light on the copper, you cannot tell which century made what. That is the only standard that matters in a riad." — Natuross customer
For Interior Designers & Architects
Riad restoration projects are among the most geometrically demanding and most historically specific residential briefs in the world — the courtyard proportions, the arch dimensions, the zellige pattern, and the carved plaster all set a standard that the copper specification must meet exactly. Courtyard walls, fountain surround, arched recess panels, hammam, staircase, and rooftop terrace designed as a single geometric material language. Send measured drawings, site photos, or a mood board. You’ll receive a complete design proposal with drawings and project pricing for every surface. Direct communication with the craftsman throughout.
