Wide Stove Copper Backsplash Panel — Hand-Hammered for 48"+ Professional Ranges
A 48-inch professional range needs a backsplash that matches it. A standard 30-inch panel leaves the sides exposed. A wide stove backsplash panel covers the full width — edge to edge, floor to hood — in one continuous copper composition designed for the scale of a serious cooking surface.
A hand-hammered copper backsplash panel sized for wide ranges and professional cooktops — 48", 60", 72", or any width you need — in any design, in any of 15 finishes, made to your exact dimensions. Made by our family using traditional chasing and repoussé techniques passed through generations. Every detail a separate hammer stroke, thousands of them. Over 10,000 pieces made.
Wide stove backsplashes are designed differently from standard backsplashes. The composition must work across a wider field — the hero design element centered above the burners, the flanking panels extending the composition to the edges, the full width reading as one unified scene rather than a single panel with empty wall on either side. We design wide backsplashes as complete compositions from the start — not as a standard panel stretched wider.
Common Wide Stove Configurations
- 48" range — the most common professional range width — typically covered with a single panel up to 48" wide, or a three-panel composition: left accent, center hero, right accent
- 60" range — covered with a two-panel or three-panel composition — center hero panel with flanking accent panels
- 72" range or commercial cooktop — multi-panel composition — center hero with extended flanking panels — the most dramatic and most kitchen-defining backsplash in the catalog
- Full stove wall — the backsplash extends from counter to hood across the full width of the stove wall, including the areas beside the range — the most complete and most architecturally integrated option
Single-Piece vs. Multi-Piece
Maximum single-piece size is 77×38". For wider installations:
- Up to 77" wide — single seamless panel, no seams
- 78–120" wide — two coordinated panels, one seam placed at a natural design break
- 120"+ wide — three or more panels — center hero intact, flanking panels designed around it
The main focal design element — the hero above the burners — is always kept as one intact piece. Seams fall at natural design breaks, never through the main subject.
Any Design. Any Finish.
Any design from the Natuross catalog — or a completely custom design created for your kitchen. The most popular wide stove backsplash designs:
- Grapevine — the most popular backsplash design in the catalog — extends naturally across wide formats
- Rooster — hero above the stove, grapevine or wheat flanking on either side
- Mountain scene — panoramic landscape that reads beautifully across a wide field
- Olive branch — Mediterranean composition that extends gracefully across any width
- Geometric or tile pattern — repeating pattern that fills the wide format naturally
- Custom — your design, your subject, your kitchen
Available in all 15 finishes: Natural Copper, Brown Copper, Green Copper, Blue Copper, Fire Copper, Black Copper, Copper–Black Details, Silver, Silver–Copper Details, Silver–Black Details, Silver–Gold Details, Gold/Brass, Antique Gold, Black–Gold Details, Gold–Black Details.
How It Works
Step 1 — Send us your measurements and photos. The width and height of the area to be covered, photos of the stove wall from straight-on, and your design preference and finish. A rough description is enough to start.
Step 2 — We design your wide backsplash. Full digital rendering of the complete composition — the hero panel, the flanking panels, the full stove wall — placed into a photo of your kitchen. You see exactly what it will look like before we make anything.
Step 3 — You approve it. Nothing goes into production until you say so. We refine the design until it’s right.
Step 4 — It arrives ready to install. About 3 weeks from approval. Photos of the finished panels sent before shipping.

Perfect For
- 48"+ professional ranges — Wolf, Viking, Thermador, BlueStar, La Cornue, Bertazzoni, and any other professional-grade range that deserves a backsplash at the same level
- Dual-fuel ranges and commercial-style cooktops — the wide cooking surface that needs wide-format coverage designed as a complete composition
- Chef’s kitchen or gourmet kitchen renovation — the kitchen where the cooking surface is the centerpiece — and the backsplash should match it
- Full stove wall coverage — the backsplash that extends from counter to hood across the full width of the stove wall — the most complete and most architecturally integrated option
- Any finish — Natural Copper is the most popular for wide stove backsplashes — the warm tawny tones of the copper complement the stainless steel of professional ranges in the most natural and most kitchen-specific way
