Lone Star Copper Panel — Hand-Hammered Texas Pride Wall Art
Texas is the only state that was an independent republic before joining the United States. The Lone Star was the flag of the Republic of Texas from 1839 to 1845. It has been the symbol of Texas ever since. There is no other state symbol in America with this history.
A copper wall panel of the Lone Star — the five-pointed star of Texas, the most immediately recognizable state symbol in America, the most emotionally charged and most identity-specific regional symbol in the catalog — hand-hammered in real copper sheet by our family using traditional chasing and repoussé techniques passed through generations. The five-pointed star and the Western flourishes are the composition: that iconic five-pointed star rendered in dimensional metalwork, the Western flourishes and bold form built up in fine relief, the settled pride of a state that was its own country first and has never entirely forgotten it. In Natural Copper or Brown Copper, the warm tawny tones echo the Texas landscape and the ranch. Every point of the star, every flourish, every detail a separate hammer stroke, thousands of them. Over 10,000 pieces made.
The Lone Star (estrella solitaria) has been the symbol of Texas since the Texas Revolution of 1835–1836 — when Texas declared independence from Mexico and established the Republic of Texas. The single star on the Texas flag represents Texas standing alone — independent, self-sufficient, and proud. The phrase “Don’t Mess with Texas” — originally an anti-littering campaign launched in 1986 — became the most recognized state slogan in America because it captured something true about the Texas character. Texas is the second largest state by area and population, the largest state in the contiguous US, and the only state that has flown six different national flags: Spain, France, Mexico, the Republic of Texas, the Confederate States, and the United States. The most historically independent, most geographically vast, and most identity-specific state in the American union.

Complete the Look
A copper kitchen backsplash. The Lone Star above the stove — the most Texas-specific and most immediately bold focal point in the kitchen. In Natural Copper or Brown Copper, the warm tawny tones of the Texas landscape bring the Lone Star State into the heart of the home in the most permanent and most proudly Texan way possible.
A copper panel above your fireplace. The Lone Star, larger, spanning above the mantel in Natural Copper. The most historically independent and most identity-specific focal point in the Western panel range — the star of the only state that was its own country first, at full scale in copper, above the fire.
Your family or ranch name in copper. Not a sign — a designed panel. Your name hand-hammered in relief, with the Lone Star as the central subject, in the same finish as the main panel. It goes at the ranch entrance or above the front door. Every person who arrives sees it first.
A Texas room composition. The Lone Star above the stove, longhorns on the side wall, bluebonnets on the window wall — all in Natural Copper and Brown Copper, designed together as one coordinated Texas composition. The kitchen that is unmistakably, permanently, proudly Texas.
If you’re thinking about more than one piece: reach out before you order. We’ll design everything together and give you project pricing for the full set.
