This custom layout copper kitchen backsplash is made for kitchens that do not fit a standard rectangle. It is a good choice when your backsplash area includes more than one wall, mixed panel heights, a stove and sink wall, a window, open shelves, a recessed space, side returns, unusual cabinet spacing, or a larger copper feature that needs to be planned as one coordinated layout.

Many real kitchens need more than one simple panel. A stove wall may need a taller center panel behind the range with shorter side panels under the cabinets. A sink wall may need a shorter center panel below a window with taller side panels on each side. A coffee nook, pantry counter, appliance area, or recessed opening may need an exact-fit back panel with matching side returns.

For larger designs, the main artwork or center feature is kept visually intact whenever possible. Matching side panels, top or bottom panels, border panels, or return pieces can be added around it so the finished backsplash feels like one planned copper installation instead of separate pieces.

Choose the layout option that is closest to your kitchen. If none of the options match, choose the custom measurement option and message your rough sizes. Useful measurements include the total width and height, stove or sink width, window width, cabinet gaps, left and right side areas, and any outlet, faucet, shelf, hood, or appliance details.

Cutouts and layout adjustments are available for outlets, switches, faucets, pot fillers, plumbing details, shelf brackets, window trim, hood areas, cabinet edges, appliance clearances, angled walls, recessed openings, and uneven surfaces. We create a digital preview for your approval before production begins.

Step 1 — Digital preview: We send a preview of your panel for approval before anything is made. Production begins only after your written confirmation.

Step 2 — Production: Your panel is hand-hammered to your exact specifications. Approximately 3 weeks.

Step 3 — Pre-shipping photos: Once complete, we send photos of the finished panel. Shipping takes place only after your approval. Adjustments can still be made at this stage.

Step 4 — Delivery: Ships via FedEx with tracking. Delivered to your door within one month from order date.

Material & Specs

Every Natuross® panel is real copper or brass — 24 gauge, hand-hammered, mounted over a rigid aluminum composite backing. Approximately ¼ inch (6mm) thick, flush to the wall. Weight: approximately 2.1 lb per square foot.

Sealed with a professional-grade UV-resistant lacquer — water, heat, and grease resistant. Suitable for kitchens, bathrooms, wet areas, fireplaces, and outdoor installations. No maintenance ever required.

Installation & Care

Installation — three methods:

  • Adhesive — stick directly over existing tile, drywall, wood, or stone using any standard construction adhesive. Most popular method. Most customers install in under an hour.
  • Screw mount — for large, heavy, or outdoor panels. Ships with screws and decorative caps included.
  • Hanging wire — for wall art, signs, and removable installations.

For multi-piece panels: install the central piece first, borders second.

Care:

Wipe with a soft damp cloth. For grease or cooking splashes, warm water and mild dish soap. No polishing, waxing, or re-sealing — ever. The finish you receive is the finish it keeps.
