This copper wood hood backsplash is made for the wall below a wood range hood, wood hood surround, or custom cabinet-style hood. It works as a copper hood backsplash, copper range backsplash, stove wall backsplash, backsplash behind a cooktop, or copper backsplash under a wood hood when the cooking area needs a warm handmade focal point.

A wood hood already gives the kitchen character. The wall below it should feel just as intentional. Ordinary tile can look flat under a beautiful hood, while hand-hammered copper adds depth, warmth, and artisan texture. It turns the cooking wall into a rare feature that most homes do not have, and it helps the wood hood and backsplash feel like one custom centerpiece.

Unlike ordinary tile or factory metal sheets, each Natuross backsplash is handmade from real copper and made to order for your kitchen. Copper naturally pairs with stained wood, painted wood, reclaimed wood, walnut, oak, cherry, maple, and custom cabinet hoods. It is especially beautiful in farmhouse, rustic, traditional, Mediterranean, French country, lodge, cottage, and warm modern kitchens.

Choose a centered hood feature when you want copper mainly below the wood hood. Choose a wider hood wall set when you want copper to continue under the cabinets or shelves on both sides. For larger walls, we make the backsplash as a coordinated multi-panel set. The main artwork or center feature stays visually intact whenever possible, with matching panels completing the wall.

If your hood is wider, off-center, framed by trim, surrounded by shelves, or has a pot filler, outlets, switches, cabinet edges, appliance clearances, or uneven spacing, cutouts and layout adjustments are available. If your exact size is not listed, message your width and height. We can add your exact wood hood backsplash as a new order option with the correct price.

Step 1 — Digital preview: We send a preview of your panel for approval before anything is made. Production begins only after your written confirmation.

Step 2 — Production: Your panel is hand-hammered to your exact specifications. Approximately 3 weeks.

Step 3 — Pre-shipping photos: Once complete, we send photos of the finished panel. Shipping takes place only after your approval. Adjustments can still be made at this stage.

Step 4 — Delivery: Ships via FedEx with tracking. Delivered to your door within one month from order date.

Material & Specs

Every Natuross® panel is real copper or brass — 24 gauge, hand-hammered, mounted over a rigid aluminum composite backing. Approximately ¼ inch (6mm) thick, flush to the wall. Weight: approximately 2.1 lb per square foot.

Sealed with a professional-grade UV-resistant lacquer — water, heat, and grease resistant. Suitable for kitchens, bathrooms, wet areas, fireplaces, and outdoor installations. No maintenance ever required.

Installation & Care

Installation — three methods:

  • Adhesive — stick directly over existing tile, drywall, wood, or stone using any standard construction adhesive. Most popular method. Most customers install in under an hour.
  • Screw mount — for large, heavy, or outdoor panels. Ships with screws and decorative caps included.
  • Hanging wire — for wall art, signs, and removable installations.

For multi-piece panels: install the central piece first, borders second.

Care:

Wipe with a soft damp cloth. For grease or cooking splashes, warm water and mild dish soap. No polishing, waxing, or re-sealing — ever. The finish you receive is the finish it keeps.
