This copper vaulted-ceiling kitchen backsplash is made for kitchens where the wall rises above the normal cabinet line and becomes part of the architecture. It works beautifully behind range hoods, open walls, no-upper-cabinet layouts, open shelves, sink walls, and tall kitchen feature areas where a short backsplash would feel unfinished.

A vaulted ceiling gives the kitchen height and drama. Handmade copper helps bring that tall wall back into the room, adding warmth, texture, and a strong focal point without covering the entire ceiling-height wall. The backsplash can be sized as a tall central feature or expanded with surrounding panels when the wall needs more width or height.

For vaulted kitchens, the most important part of the design should stay visually intact. A range hood, tree, medallion, landscape, or main artwork can be kept as the central feature, with side panels, top accents, or lower bands added around it when the total size is larger than one panel.

Choose a single tall feature panel when the size fits within the making limits. For wider or taller vaulted-wall layouts, choose an expansion set with a central feature panel and matching side, top, or bottom pieces. If your wall has a sloped ceiling, hood, shelves, window, outlets, or unusual angles, message your measurements and we can add your exact vaulted-ceiling layout as a new order option.

Cutouts and layout adjustments are available for outlets, switches, faucets, pot fillers, shelf brackets, window trim, hood details, appliance clearances, cabinet edges, and uneven wall sections. We can also adjust panel widths, accent pieces, and seam placement so the copper fits cleanly with the architecture of your kitchen.

Place your order, enter your dimensions, and choose a finish. Add any notes at checkout — personalization, cutouts, text, or a completely new custom design. Custom design is included at no extra charge.

Step 1 — Digital preview: We send a preview of your panel for approval before anything is made. Production begins only after your written confirmation.

Step 2 — Production: Your panel is hand-hammered to your exact specifications. Approximately 3 weeks.

Step 3 — Pre-shipping photos: Once complete, we send photos of the finished panel. Shipping takes place only after your approval. Adjustments can still be made at this stage.

Step 4 — Delivery: Ships via FedEx with tracking. Delivered to your door within one month from order date.

Material & Specs

Every Natuross® panel is real copper or brass — 24 gauge, hand-hammered, mounted over a rigid aluminum composite backing. Approximately ¼ inch (6mm) thick, flush to the wall. Weight: approximately 2.1 lb per square foot.

Sealed with a professional-grade UV-resistant lacquer — water, heat, and grease resistant. Suitable for kitchens, bathrooms, wet areas, fireplaces, and outdoor installations. No maintenance ever required.

Installation & Care

Installation — three methods:

  • Adhesive — stick directly over existing tile, drywall, wood, or stone using any standard construction adhesive. Most popular method. Most customers install in under an hour.
  • Screw mount — for large, heavy, or outdoor panels. Ships with screws and decorative caps included.
  • Hanging wire — for wall art, signs, and removable installations.

For multi-piece panels: install the central piece first, borders second.

Care:

Wipe with a soft damp cloth. For grease or cooking splashes, warm water and mild dish soap. No polishing, waxing, or re-sealing — ever. The finish you receive is the finish it keeps.
