This copper under-cabinet backsplash is made for the wall space below upper kitchen cabinets. It works behind prep counters, sink counters, appliance areas, coffee stations, pantry counters, and longer cabinet runs where handmade copper can replace ordinary tile with a warmer, more custom surface.

The under-cabinet area is one of the most practical places to use copper in a kitchen. It is visible every day, close to the countertop, and often includes outlets, appliances, shelves, sinks, or prep space. Real hammered copper adds warmth and texture while keeping the wall easy to wipe clean for daily use.

Most under-cabinet backsplashes are about 18" high from the countertop to the bottom of the upper cabinets. Some kitchens have a taller 24" space, especially with higher cabinets, open shelves, or a more open wall. Wider cabinet runs may be made from multiple coordinated panels so the copper continues cleanly across the counter.

Choose 36" or 48" widths for focused work areas, 60" or 72" for wider cabinet runs, and 96", 120", or 144" multi-panel options when you want copper across a longer under-cabinet wall. If your kitchen has different cabinet spacing, outlets, sink placement, appliance clearances, or wall length, message your measurements and we can add your exact layout as a new order option.

Cutouts and layout adjustments are available for outlets, switches, faucets, plumbing details, shelf brackets, window trim, cabinet edges, appliance clearances, and uneven wall sections. We can also adjust panel widths and seam placement so the backsplash fits your real kitchen cleanly.

You can order the design shown in the product photos or request a new custom design. Custom design is free. Message your measurements with an image, inspiration link, or idea. We create a digital preview and send an order link before production.

Step 1 — Digital preview: We send a preview of your panel for approval before anything is made. Production begins only after your written confirmation.

Step 2 — Production: Your panel is hand-hammered to your exact specifications. Approximately 3 weeks.

Step 3 — Pre-shipping photos: Once complete, we send photos of the finished panel. Shipping takes place only after your approval. Adjustments can still be made at this stage.

Step 4 — Delivery: Ships via FedEx with tracking. Delivered to your door within one month from order date.

Material & Specs

Every Natuross® panel is real copper or brass — 24 gauge, hand-hammered, mounted over a rigid aluminum composite backing. Approximately ¼ inch (6mm) thick, flush to the wall. Weight: approximately 2.1 lb per square foot.

Sealed with a professional-grade UV-resistant lacquer — water, heat, and grease resistant. Suitable for kitchens, bathrooms, wet areas, fireplaces, and outdoor installations. No maintenance ever required.

Installation & Care

Installation — three methods:

  • Adhesive — stick directly over existing tile, drywall, wood, or stone using any standard construction adhesive. Most popular method. Most customers install in under an hour.
  • Screw mount — for large, heavy, or outdoor panels. Ships with screws and decorative caps included.
  • Hanging wire — for wall art, signs, and removable installations.

For multi-piece panels: install the central piece first, borders second.

Care:

Wipe with a soft damp cloth. For grease or cooking splashes, warm water and mild dish soap. No polishing, waxing, or re-sealing — ever. The finish you receive is the finish it keeps.
