This copper range hood wall backsplash is made for the main cooking wall behind a range, cooktop, stove, and hood. It works when the hood area needs a stronger copper feature than a short under-cabinet backsplash, especially in kitchens with a decorative hood, custom range hood, open wall, or cabinets on both sides.

The range hood wall is often the visual center of the kitchen. A handmade copper backsplash can frame the cooking area, add warmth behind the hood, and make the stove wall feel finished instead of plain. The center panel can carry the main artwork or hammered copper design, while side panels can continue the copper under nearby cabinets when the wall is wider.

Many range hood walls use a taller center feature behind the range and hood, with shorter side panels below upper cabinets. Other kitchens need one large centered panel, a wide cooking-wall set, or a custom multi-panel layout if the hood, cabinets, shelves, or wall length are unusual.

Choose a centered panel for a focused range hood feature. Choose a Center Feature + Side Panels layout when you want the copper to continue across the stove wall. If your range is off-center, your hood is wider, your cabinets are uneven, or your wall has outlets, pot filler, shelves, or trim, message your measurements and we can add your exact range hood wall layout as a new order option with the correct price.

Larger sizes can be made as coordinated multi-panel sets. When more than one panel is needed, the main artwork or center feature is kept visually intact whenever possible, with matching panels added around it so the finished backsplash still feels like one planned copper installation.

Cutouts and layout adjustments are available for outlets, switches, pot fillers, hood trim, shelf brackets, cabinet edges, appliance clearances, and uneven wall sections. We create a digital preview for your approval before production begins.

Step 1 — Digital preview: We send a preview of your panel for approval before anything is made. Production begins only after your written confirmation.

Step 2 — Production: Your panel is hand-hammered to your exact specifications. Approximately 3 weeks.

Step 3 — Pre-shipping photos: Once complete, we send photos of the finished panel. Shipping takes place only after your approval. Adjustments can still be made at this stage.

Step 4 — Delivery: Ships via FedEx with tracking. Delivered to your door within one month from order date.

Material & Specs

Every Natuross® panel is real copper or brass — 24 gauge, hand-hammered, mounted over a rigid aluminum composite backing. Approximately ¼ inch (6mm) thick, flush to the wall. Weight: approximately 2.1 lb per square foot.

Sealed with a professional-grade UV-resistant lacquer — water, heat, and grease resistant. Suitable for kitchens, bathrooms, wet areas, fireplaces, and outdoor installations. No maintenance ever required.

Installation & Care

Installation — three methods:

  • Adhesive — stick directly over existing tile, drywall, wood, or stone using any standard construction adhesive. Most popular method. Most customers install in under an hour.
  • Screw mount — for large, heavy, or outdoor panels. Ships with screws and decorative caps included.
  • Hanging wire — for wall art, signs, and removable installations.

For multi-piece panels: install the central piece first, borders second.

Care:

Wipe with a soft damp cloth. For grease or cooking splashes, warm water and mild dish soap. No polishing, waxing, or re-sealing — ever. The finish you receive is the finish it keeps.
