This copper inset wall kitchen backsplash is made for kitchen spaces where the copper needs to fit inside a defined opening, cabinet-framed area, niche, alcove, or built-in wall section. It works behind coffee stations, appliance areas, prep counters, sinks, open shelves, display spaces, and custom kitchen features where the back wall should look finished and intentional.

An inset backsplash is usually about clean fit. The copper may sit between cabinet sides, inside trim, between shelves, behind an appliance space, or inside a recessed counter area. Real hammered copper turns that inset space into a warm custom feature instead of leaving the back wall plain.

Many inset kitchen spaces need one exact-fit back panel. Some need a taller feature panel, side return pieces, or a custom multi-panel layout when the opening is wider or more architectural. If the design is larger, the center feature can stay visually intact whenever possible, with matching panels added around it.

Choose 24" or 30" widths for narrow coffee and appliance spaces, 36" or 42" widths for cabinet-framed openings, and 48" widths for larger built-in kitchen features. A 24"H panel works for many compact inset openings, while 30"H and 36"H options give more coverage inside taller spaces.

If your inset wall has outlets, switches, shelf brackets, cabinet edges, trim, faucet details, plumbing, appliance clearances, side returns, or uneven corners, cutouts and layout adjustments are available. If your exact opening size is not listed, message your measurements and we can add your exact inset-wall layout as a new order option.

Step 1 — Digital preview: We send a preview of your panel for approval before anything is made. Production begins only after your written confirmation.

Step 2 — Production: Your panel is hand-hammered to your exact specifications. Approximately 3 weeks.

Step 3 — Pre-shipping photos: Once complete, we send photos of the finished panel. Shipping takes place only after your approval. Adjustments can still be made at this stage.

Step 4 — Delivery: Ships via FedEx with tracking. Delivered to your door within one month from order date.

Material & Specs

Every Natuross® panel is real copper or brass — 24 gauge, hand-hammered, mounted over a rigid aluminum composite backing. Approximately ¼ inch (6mm) thick, flush to the wall. Weight: approximately 2.1 lb per square foot.

Sealed with a professional-grade UV-resistant lacquer — water, heat, and grease resistant. Suitable for kitchens, bathrooms, wet areas, fireplaces, and outdoor installations. No maintenance ever required.

Installation & Care

Installation — three methods:

  • Adhesive — stick directly over existing tile, drywall, wood, or stone using any standard construction adhesive. Most popular method. Most customers install in under an hour.
  • Screw mount — for large, heavy, or outdoor panels. Ships with screws and decorative caps included.
  • Hanging wire — for wall art, signs, and removable installations.

For multi-piece panels: install the central piece first, borders second.

Care:

Wipe with a soft damp cloth. For grease or cooking splashes, warm water and mild dish soap. No polishing, waxing, or re-sealing — ever. The finish you receive is the finish it keeps.
