Bald Eagle Copper Panel — Hand-Hammered American & Patriotic Wall Art

In 1963, there were 417 nesting pairs of Bald Eagles left in the lower 48 states. Today there are over 9,000. The Bald Eagle is the greatest conservation comeback story in American ornithology.

A copper wall panel of the Bald Eagle — the white head, the yellow eye, the hooked beak of the most recognizable and most symbolically charged bird in American culture — hand-hammered in real copper sheet by our family using traditional chasing and repoussé techniques passed through generations. The white head and the powerful form are the composition: that distinctive white head rendered in dimensional metalwork, the yellow eye and hooked beak built up in fine relief, the absolute authority of a bird that has been the symbol of the United States for 243 years. In Silver, the white head of the real bird rendered in the most naturally precise finish for this subject. Every feather, every detail a separate hammer stroke, thousands of them. Over 10,000 pieces made.

The Bald Eagle (Haliaeetus leucocephalus) was chosen as the national symbol of the United States on June 20, 1782 — the same day the Great Seal of the United States was adopted. Benjamin Franklin famously objected — he preferred the turkey, calling the eagle “a bird of bad moral character.” The eagle’s wingspan can reach 8 feet. It can see 4 to 8 times better than a human — spotting a fish from 2 miles away. Its talons grip with 400 psi — ten times the grip strength of a human hand. DDT nearly drove it to extinction by thinning its eggshells. The banning of DDT in 1972 and the Endangered Species Act of 1973 saved the species. Removed from the endangered species list in 2007. The most patriotically resonant, most conservation-triumphant, and most visually commanding bird in American history.

No commitment — just so you can see what's possible.

The Bald Eagle at full wall scale — wingspan spanning the full width of the wall, multi-piece installation, the central bird intact, mountain or sky border pieces designed around it. Living room, dining room, great room, entryway. Any size, any wall. A 60×60" starts at $4,745. A full living room wall at 120×96" runs approximately $18,000–$24,000 depending on design complexity. Contact us with your wall dimensions for an exact quote — we'll design the full composition and send a digital preview before any commitment.

④ Custom or personalized design — reach out
A Bald Eagle in full flight with wings spread, a Bald Eagle catching a fish from a river, a Bald Eagle with the American flag, a Bald Eagle in a Great Seal of the United States composition, a Bald Eagle with a military branch emblem, a Bald Eagle in an Alaskan or Pacific Northwest scene with mountains and water — or a completely different American raptor: Golden Eagle, Osprey, Red-tailed Hawk, or anything that matters to you. Or a personalized panel: your family name or military unit designed as a full copper composition, with the Bald Eagle as guardian, in the same finish. Not a sign — a piece of art that carries your name. Same process, completely custom. Just reach out.

Complete the Look

A copper panel above your fireplace. The Bald Eagle, larger, wingspan spanning above the mantel in Silver. The most patriotically resonant and most conservation-triumphant focal point in the American range — the bird that came back from 417 pairs to 9,000, at full scale in copper, above the fire.

Your family name or military unit in copper. Not a sign — a designed panel. Your name or unit designation hand-hammered in relief, with the Bald Eagle as guardian, in the same finish as the main panel. It goes by the front door or above the entryway. Every person who enters sees it first.

A Great Seal composition. The Bald Eagle in a full Great Seal of the United States composition — the shield, the olive branch, the arrows, the banner — in Silver or Gold/Brass. The most historically specific and most officially resonant American panel in the catalog. Above the main wall of the home or office that carries that identity.

A living room or dining room panel. A coordinated American wildlife scene — a bison, a wolf, a bear — in the same finish as the Bald Eagle. The American home with a consistent visual language of the national wildlife and the open land.

If you're thinking about more than one piece: reach out before you order. We'll design everything together and give you project pricing for the full set.

  • Hanging wire — for wall art, signs, and removable installations.

For multi-piece panels: install the central piece first, borders second.
