Forest Landscape Copper Full Wall Kitchen Backsplash — Multi-Piece Custom Set

A forest is not a collection of trees. It is a system — the most complex living system on land. The canopy, the understory, the forest floor, the mycorrhizal network beneath it, the animals moving through it. A forest landscape in copper relief captures not just the trees but the depth behind them — the sense that the scene continues beyond the edge of the panel.

A hand-hammered copper full wall kitchen backsplash of a forest landscape — pine trees in the foreground, mountain peaks layered behind them, deer moving through the scene — the full depth of a wilderness panorama rendered in dimensional copper relief across your entire kitchen wall. Made by our family using traditional chasing and repoussé techniques passed through generations. This is not a single panel. It is a coordinated set of pieces — designed together as one continuous composition, with the seams falling at natural breaks in the design, installed wall to wall. Available in all 15 finishes. Over 10,000 pieces made.

The boreal forest — the great northern forest of pine, spruce, and fir that stretches across Canada, Alaska, Scandinavia, and Russia — is the largest terrestrial biome on earth. The Rocky Mountain forest — ponderosa pine, lodgepole pine, Engelmann spruce, subalpine fir — is the defining landscape of the American West, the backdrop to every elk hunt, every fly fishing trip, every morning in a mountain cabin. The Appalachian forest — the oldest mountain range in North America, covered in oak, maple, hickory, and hemlock — is the forest that shaped the American frontier. This composition can be any of these — or a specific forest, a specific mountain, a specific view that belongs to you.

How a Full Wall Kitchen Backsplash Works

A full wall kitchen backsplash covers the entire wall — not just the area behind the stove. The composition is designed across all pieces together: the center panel behind the stove, the side panels extending left and right, the under-cabinet strips, the window surrounds. Every piece is part of one continuous scene.

Step 1 — Send us your kitchen photos. Straight-on photos of the wall or walls you want to cover. Rough measurements are helpful but not required — photos alone are enough to start.

Step 2 — We design the full composition. We lay out the complete scene across your wall, showing exactly how the forest landscape fills the space — where the mountain peaks sit, where the pine trees fall, where the deer are placed. We show you the piece breaks — exactly where each panel ends and the next begins, always at a natural point in the design.

Step 3 — You approve the layout. You see the full composition and the piece configuration before anything is made. We refine until it’s right.

Step 4 — We make every piece. Each panel hand-hammered to its exact dimensions. The full set ships together, approximately 3 weeks from approval.

Step 5 — Installation. Pieces install in sequence — the composition assembles on your wall exactly as designed. Step-by-step guidance included.

What the Set Can Include

  • Center stove panel — the hero of the composition, the mountain peaks and the deer centered above the burners
  • Left and right side panels — the pine forest extending from the center to the edges of the wall
  • Under-cabinet strips — the forest floor and understory running below the cabinets
  • Window surrounds — panels above, beside, or between windows, the forest scene framing the view outside
  • Sink wall panels — the forest continuing to the sink wall, the full kitchen wrapped in one wilderness scene

You don’t need to decide all of this upfront. Send us your photos and we’ll recommend the configuration that works best for your space.

Custom Landscape Options

The forest landscape can be adapted to any specific wilderness tradition — Rocky Mountain ponderosa pine with elk, Appalachian hardwood with whitetail deer, Pacific Northwest old-growth with black bear, Alaskan boreal with moose, Scandinavian taiga with reindeer. Any season — autumn color, winter snow, spring thaw, summer green. Any specific animal as the hero of the composition. Your cabin name or family name worked into the scene. Same process, completely custom. Just reach out.

Perfect For

  • Full wall kitchen transformation — for the kitchen where a single panel behind the stove isn’t enough — where the whole wall should be one continuous wilderness scene
  • Mountain cabin, hunting lodge, or wilderness retreat kitchen — the landscape that belongs to the space — wrapping the kitchen wall the way the real forest wraps the building outside
  • Kitchen renovation or remodel — the backsplash decision that defines the entire kitchen — made once, permanent, completely unlike anything that can be tiled or painted
  • Nature lover, hunter, or outdoorsman — for the person whose best days are spent in the forest — on every wall of the kitchen, year-round
  • 15 finishes available — Natural Copper, Brown Copper, Green Copper, Blue Copper, Fire Copper, Black Copper, Copper–Black, Silver, Silver–Copper, Silver–Gold, Silver–Black, Gold, Antique Gold, Black–Gold, Gold–Black — note your preference when you reach out

Installation & Care

Installation — three methods:

  • Adhesive — stick directly over existing tile, drywall, wood, or stone using any standard construction adhesive. Most popular method. Most customers install in under an hour.
  • Screw mount — for large, heavy, or outdoor panels. Ships with screws and decorative caps included.
  • Hanging wire — for wall art, signs, and removable installations.

For multi-piece panels: install the central piece first, borders second.

Care:

Wipe with a soft damp cloth. For grease or cooking splashes, warm water and mild dish soap. No polishing, waxing, or re-sealing — ever. The finish you receive is the finish it keeps.
