Copper Comedy Tragedy Theater Masks
Copper Comedy Tragedy Theater Masks
Drawing inspiration from the ancient Greek Muses, this sculpture embodies the timeless symbols of "Sock and Buskin." Melpomene, the Muse of tragedy, is elegantly portrayed holding the poignant tragic mask while wearing buskins, symbolizing the somber side of human experience. On the other hand, Thalia, the Muse of comedy, is playfully associated with the mask of comedy and comic's socks, showcasing the lighter and more humorous aspects of life.
